Internet Access Where You Need It

If you have been a resident of Boundary County for more than 20 years, then the sound of a computer dial-up modem may still be a vivid memory. Not necessarily a good Memory, but still fresh in my mind. Fortunately, technology continues to move forward, even in our remote corner of the country. DSL and
Fiber have become the latest buzz words for internet connectivity providing speeds that support desired
services.

If your connection speed to the internet is adequate and you would like to service a distant shop building on your property, then you may want to consider installation of a wireless bridge. In Wiki terms,
this is defined as:

“In Wi-Fi networking, a point-to-point wireless bridge lets users wirelessly connect two or more locations together. This bridge enables users to share an Internet connection between two or more
locations and to share files and other types of data across the network.”

As our community grows, there has been a sharp increase in demand for this service offering at Cox Techs. A wireless bridge provides the connection for the internet, and the capability to add security cameras for remote monitoring. Imagine looking at your smartphone to view an email that just hit your inbox
with a photo attachment of your UPS driver leaving a package at your home. I see this almost daily, and
the photos are in high resolution. Anytime a vehicle or person (sometimes a deer…) enters the defined
area within my surveillance cameras view, I get a picture.

I talk with local business owners and hear the same concern frequently. Not that long ago, we could leave keys in an unlocked car, and who locked the doors to their house? Now you can add surveillance with recording along with alerts within seconds to your smartphone. I also recommend SimpliSafe for a security system if you don’t already have one.

If you are interested to add a wireless bridge for your shop so you have internet there, or your desire is to secure your property with surveillance, give us a call to discuss your needs.
